Don Bosco Prep Spring Musical “The Will Rogers Follies” Nominated for Numerous Awards
2012 – 05/9 - Don Bosco Prep’s spring musical production, “The Will Rogers Follies,” has been nominated for numerous awards by the Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for excellence in high school musical theater.
The Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Awards have nominated “The Will Rogers Follies” for eight (8) awards:
- Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical
- Outstanding Performance by a Chorus
- Outstanding Achievement by a Teacher or Outside Director – Jodi Capeless
- Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role – Courtney Koefed “Betty Blake Rogers”
- Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role – Jaclyn Scerbak “Ziegfeld’s Favorite”
- Outstanding Achievement in Choreography and Staging- Kimberly Galberaith
- Outstanding Costuming Achievement- Kathleen Martorano, Nancy Reynolds
- Student Achievement Award – Gabrielle Conzo – Dance Captain
Announcements of the winners will be made at an awards ceremony on June 5, 2012. One hundred high schools throughout New Jersey are invited to participate in this competition, which is modeled after the Tony Awards.
