DBP Lacrosse Makes Time for Morning Mass on Palm Sunday
Craig Dietel '13 Associate Director of Public Relations and Alumni
On March 26, 2018, Palm Sunday, the Don Bosco Prep Lacrosse Team played a scrimmage against St. Viator High School from Arlington Heights, Illinois. Both teams also made sure to make the time to celebrate Palm Sunday before playing.
Fr. James Heuser, SDB, Director/President, celebrated Mass followed by brunch before the 1:00 p.m. scrimmage. Since it was preseason, score was not kept.
“It was a very special day for both St. Viator and Don Bosco Prep,” said Coach Brendan Gorman. “The parents and coaches of St. Viator were overwhelmed by our hospitality, campus, and play on the lacrosse field. I got so see some young men I coached for many years and their families which means a lot to me personally.” Gorman coached in Illinois for 15 years before moving back east, so this was a very special day for him in particular.
The Don Bosco Prep Lacrosse Team has their first game of the season tonight at home against Ramapo at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
