The B.E.S.T. (Brothers Eagerly Serving Together) Program at DBP held its second consecutive successful week, with thirteen students performing a number of community service projects and team building trips, aimed to teach the boys the importance and benefits of serving the community.

Led by Campus Minister Fr. Paul Chu, SDB, Mr. Matt Cooper, Assistant Campus Youth Minister, Br. Sasika, Br. Indika, and Mr. John Tranate, the students began each day with Mass and breakfast with the Salesian community. This week's volunteer activities included beautifying the DBP Campus (Tuesday), serving lunch at the Newark Soup Kitchen with the Missionaries of Charity (Wednesday), and helping at the Don Bosco Corpus Christi Soup Kitchen and Parish in Port Chester, NY (Thursday). On Friday, the boys helped organize and stock shelves at the Father English Food Pantry in Paterson, and paid a visit to Christian Stewart '18 at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation in West Orange. The boys also prepared food and hygiene bags for the homeless that they delivered during their Midnight Run in New York City.

On Saturday, the boys spent the morning at the Wanaque Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Haskell, NJ where they led recreational activities for the elderly and the young adult patients.

Some of the recreational activities included a trip to an Adventure Room, laser tag, and an ice cream walk, all geared towards team building and bonding.

We are grateful for the boys' efforts in serving the community, and are proud of what they accomplished this past week!
