Varsity Soccer Opens Season Tonight at Home against DePaul

Come out and cheer on the Bosco varsity soccer team kick off against DePaul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. tonight at Granatell Stadium!

Ranked #1 in North Jersey by the news media, Coach Sileo’s team is highly skilled and plays smart on the field.  “Any time you have great game IQ with highly technical play, that team becomes very dangerous,” said Coach Vincent Sileo.

The varsity team is Junior heavy, with ten returning Varsity players. Last season was very successful in terms of results, going undefeated in the league and only losing two games in tournament play. One component missing from last year was maturity and physical play.
“This year the staff and I believe we can compete better in these two aspects of competition,” said Sileo.

Sileo’s thoughts on tonight’s game? “The first game doesn’t necessarily set the tone,” he said. “It’s more of a building block, and a true evaluation of how the pre-season has prepared us for these aspects we’ve been working on. We know we will get better as the season continues.”

Show your support for the team tonight!

If you can't make it to the game, the Media Club will be livestreaming the game complete with a pregame show starting at 6:30 PM and a postgame show right after the game! Click here to watch the Media Clubs broadcast!
