Paying tribute to lives lost.
Today, to pay respects to those lost on September 11, 2001, the Don Bosco Prep school community participated in prayerful moments of silence paying tribute to the victims of the attacks that took place 17 years ago today.

Students in U.S. History classes also spent their class time today learning about events of that day from Mr. John Nepolitan, teacher in the Social Studies department. Students watched an excerpt from ESPN’s “The Man in the Red Bandana”, a documentary that followed the efforts of a Nyack, NY native firefighter who gave his life to save twelve individuals that day.

The goal of today’s events was to show the students, some who had not even been born yet, how America truly came together in some of the darkest hours and how many heroes risked and lost their lives to save others.

Never forget.
