Members of the Don Bosco Prep community paid their respects this morning to George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States, as we honor him today on what has been named a national day of remembrance.
Fr. James Heuser, SDB, Director/President, offered prayer and reflection during the morning announcements, sharing his thoughts of how President Bush will be remembered for his service to his country, strong conviction, and love of family.
“He dedicated his life to service,” said Fr. James Heuser, SDB. “He knew what life was about. He had a strong strong faith in God. He prayed regularly. He prayed daily.”
As a mark of respect and remembrance, Don Bosco Prep will join the country and other Catholic institutions by keeping our flag at half staff until December 31, 2018.
