This past weekend, Don Bosco Prep’s Chapel Concert Series presented its very successful ninth Collegiate A Cappella Sing Off! Over three hundred guests were treated to a wonderful evening of a cappella numbers.
Ten a cappella groups performed, including four from area high schools, and six from colleges and universities. Our own Don Bosco Prep Chorus performed, wowing the crowd with renditions of the National Anthem, Litty Bitty Pretty One, and Inner Ninja. What a great job they did!
Three other high school groups performed, a co-ed student-run group from Trinity High School and an all-female ensemble from Notre Dame High School, both in Manhattan. Valley Central High School’s 26-member choir from Montgomery, NY also performed!
Also represented were Fairfield University, with an all-female group as well as an all-boys group, University of Connecticut, Ramapo College, and two groups from Marist College. Brandon Potenza, a DBP alumnus from the class of 2016, is part of Marist College’s Time Check. We were so happy to welcome back Brandon to our stage!
The audience was treated to a grand finale of all groups performing Don’t Stop Believin’. What an awesome show!
Chapel Concerts is presented for the cultural enrichment and enjoyment of the local community, as well as to champion the arts, and to set a standard of artistic excellence for years to come!
