Don Bosco Prep’s Chapel Concerts, now in its thirteenth season, will present "A Gershwin Evening with Lincoln Center Musicians" this Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7:30p.m. in the Mary Help of Christians Chapel.
The evening features current DBP parents Basia Danilow, a violinist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Peter Sanders, Cellist with the New York City Ballet Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival. Other Lincoln Center musicians performing are Joanna Maurer, Violinist with the American Chamber Players; Michael Roth, Violist with the Mostly Mozart Orchestra, New York Pops and New York City Ballet Orchestras; and Concert Pianist Adrienne Kim, whose resume includes the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The program will include favorite Classical and Great American Songbook pieces, such as It Ain’t Necessarily So, Fascinating Rhythm, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, Take The A Train, andSummertime, among others. Don Bosco Prep musicians will work with and perform with the Lincoln Center musicians.
