In the spirit of Social Justice Week, the DBP community held an assembly today discussing Preferential Options for the Poor. Students and faculty who attended the Puerto Rico and Belle Glade mission trips over February break shared their experiences in working with and for the young and the poor, in their respective locations. Students were shown videos with highlights of the trips and the student missionaries’ work.
Additionally, there was a presentation of the upcoming Covenant House Sleep-out which will take place at DBP on April 5.
Other issues discussed this week were Human Rights and Responsibilities, Dignity of the Human Person, and Solidarity.
