A CAPPELLA AWESOME!

Chapel Concerts at Don Bosco Prep announces its ninth annual High School and Collegiate A Cappella Festival, which will air on Don Bosco Prep’s Official YouTube channel on Saturday evening, January 30th at 7:30PM.  The YouTube premiere will showcase high school and university a cappella groups sharing dynamic arrangements of pieces in all styles – from the Great American Songbook to Classic Rock to Pop.

 

“This concert has been a tradition at Don Bosco Prep,” said Chapel Concerts’ Director Toni Bilotti Cecere. “Each year, more and more a cappella groups join in the festivities, entertaining each other and everyone watching.  And, this year it was heartening to see the creativity with which groups submitted videos for this event.  COVID-19 has engendered resiliency, adaptability and has not stopped us!”

 

This years’ groups include the Don Bosco Prep Chorus; Glee (Notre Dame High School of Manhattan); the Ramjams (Ramsey High School); the Bensonians (Fairfield University); The Sirens (Marist College); The Riffrunners (Ramapo University); The Otto Tones (Syracuse University); Time Check (Marist College); RipChord (Elon University); and Daily Special, a professional a cappella group from the greater Boston area.   Many DBP alumni are represented among these various groups, as well as Ramsey High School alumnus Matthew Fowler.
