COAT DRIVE

During the months of December and January, Don Bosco Prep partnered with Jersey Cares for their 25th annual Coat Drive. Jersey Cares received 30,000 requests for warm winter coats this year. The Don Bosco Prep community generously donated around 2,500 new and gently used coats throughout the winter months to provide life-saving warmth to individuals and families in need across New Jersey.

During the drive, Dom Bosco Prep received a large donation of coats from the firm of Meryerson, Fox, Mancinelli & Conte, in memory of Rob Mancinelli, P'22, who passed away in December. Mr. Mancinelli, father of RJ '22, ran a coat drive out of their law office for over ten years, and so the firm collected coats again this year in his honor. Thank you to Mr. Mancinelli's partner, John Conte, Jr. '77, P'04, '07, '11 and Caryn Lantz, paralegal, for spearheading their firm's drive. Pictured are: Fr. Sasika, Coordinator of Youth Ministry; RJ Mancinelli '22, John Conte, Jr., and Caryn Lantz.

On January 18th, Youth Ministry held the January service opportunity for our Ironmen. Thirty students volunteered to help sort and organize all of the donations collected during the Coat Drive since the beginning of December. Thank you to our students for your service, community for your donations, and Jersey Cares for your partnership.
