Congratulations to the Ironmen Rho and Ironmen Omega robotics teams for combining to earn a league-high score of 159 points at the FIRST Tech Challenge Northeast Edge League Meet at Becton High School in East Rutherford on Saturday, January 15th. This is the second consecutive competition in which the Ironmen Rho team scored the highest score of the competition. Not surprisingly, the all-freshman Ironmen Rho team rose from 7th place to 2nd place in the league standings. The Ironmen Omega team, made up of seniors from the Robotics Project class, maintained their position of 4th place in the league. The other Ironmen teams in the standings are Ironmen Omicron (all freshmen) in 10th place, Ironmen Sigma (mixed grade levels) in 12th place and Ironmen Pi (all freshmen) in 15th place. There are about 45 teams in the League. The next competition is the League Championship in February. Big thanks as always goes to Fr. Lou Konopelski, SDB for his never ending guidance and support!
