DON BOSCO PREP’S CHAPEL CONCERTS CLOSES ITS SEASON WITH THE SOUNDS OF THE BIG BAND ERA

Ramsey, NJ – Don Bosco Prep closes its Twelfth Season of Chapel Concerts with the ONE MORE ONCE BIG BAND on Saturday, April 14th at 7:30 in Mary Help of Christians Chapel, St. John’s Hall. Founded in 2008 by Joe Verderese and John Molloy, One More Once is an 18-piece big band consisting of some of North Jersey’s top musicians. The group was put together in an effort to bring together those who share a love of jazz and want to keep the great music of our past alive, while adding flavors of some more contemporary big band sounds. One More Once plays music of all different eras and styles, ranging from the big band era of Glenn Miller and Count Basie to Stan Kenton, Thad Jones and Maynard Ferguson favorites, as well as contemporary composers within and outside the band.
Through the years, One More Once has performed at concerts, fundraisers, school functions, corporate parties and town events throughout the North Jersey area, including a monthly event at Trumpets Jazz Club featuring acts from local schools and world renowned guest artists such as Carl Allen, Eric Alexander Robby Ameen, Paul Bollenback, Ralph Bowen, Don Braden, Cecil Bridgewater, Alexis Cole, Ronnie Cuber, Vinnie Cutro, Kenny Davis, Steve Davis, Dave Demsey, Denis Diblasio, Jon Faddis, Bob Ferrel, Joel Frahm, Matt Gallagher, Wycliffe Gordon, Mark Gross, Freddie Hendrix, Vincent Herring, Conrad Herwig, Jim Hynes, Pete McGuinness, Rufus Reid, John Riley, Claudio Roditi, Gary Smulyan, Marc Stasio, Dave Stryker, Walt Weiskopf, and Bruce Williams.
