Last night, we at Don Bosco Prep celebrated our 17th Annual President’s Gala at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ. 425 attendees celebrated the honorees and Hall of Fame Inductees during a extraordinary night of community and brotherhood.

Five Don Bosco Prep alumni were inducted into the Hall of Fame. They were Aurelius J. Licata ’69, BG (Ret.) Timothy E. Trainor ’79 Ph.D., USA, Don Van Natta Jr. ’82, Joseph R. Azzolino ’88, P’19, and Christopher Riccobono ’97. These five exemplary gentlemen were inducted into the Hall of Fame for their hard work and dedication throughout their years after graduating from Don Bosco Prep.

This year’s Distinguished Salesian educator Award was presented to veteran faculty member, Mr. John Nepolitan (Mr. Nepo), for his dedication to educating the young at Don Bosco Prep through the Salesian Charism. Mr. Nepo has served the school community for 23 years and is adored by students and faculty alike for his uplifting attitude and passion for education. We thank Mr. Nepolitan for his many years of hard work at our school in the classroom and on the field as a coach for the cross country and track teams.

Lastly, Fr. James Heuser, SDB, our Director/President presented this year’s President’s Award to both James R. Wisniewski AIA, NCARB, LEED AP of Michael Graves Architecture and Design and Donald N. Dinallo P’07 of Terminal Construction Corporation for their amazing work with our Centennial Project, the design and construction of Savio Hall and Sacred Heart Chapel. Without their vision, guidance and passion, we would not have the incredible enhancements to our campus that our students utilize daily.

All proceeds from the President’s Gala go to tuition assistance and educational programs for our boys. Additionally, a special appeal was made for the new Wellness Center in Immaculata Hall, which will offer all students a place to better themselves daily.
