Applying Physics at Home

Physics isn't just for the science lab. Mrs. Kozak's class studies and applies physics at home.

Physics students are learning all about sound and light -- for example, how IR wavelengths help us see in the dark, how RGB codes can create an exact Crayola Crayon color, how dog whistles can be heard by dogs but not humans, and what Disney does to create animation! Mrs. Kozak and her class are also revisiting past topics to apply at home, like watching a golf ball project 20 feet in the air when dropped with a tennis ball and basketball, due to stored energy, and making OOBLECK which is an amazing example of a non-Newtonian fluid.

To learn more about happenings in the Engineering Pathway, watch Mrs. Kozak's "The Magic of Physics and Engineering" video here
