The Coordinator of Youth Ministry (CYM) has as their principal area of responsibility the religious studies program, the sacramental life of the school community, liturgical service, retreats, days of recollection, ecumenical program, vocation programs, and other activities which provide opportunities for pastoral and/or apostolic concerns. Don Bosco Prep seeks a Main Office Administrative Assistant for the 2025-26 school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The main office Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow in the main office. Under the supervision of the Principal, and the Assistant Principals, the Administrative Assistant provides support in a wide range of office and school operations; coordinates and helps organize office activities, and manages the flow of communications and information in an efficient manner. The Administrative Assistant assists the two Assistant Principals by providing support in planning, organizing, and participating in their administrative operations; maintains confidentiality of sensitive and personal information; and prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant serves as the student attendance record keeper and the transportation coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Performs diverse office-related managerial responsibilities within areas and limits of authority as delegated by the principal and the assistant principals.
  2. Receives and greets visitors and provides information to parents and the public; screens correspondence and telephone calls for the principal.
  3. Inputs a variety of information into an assigned system; assures accuracy of input and output data and ensures an accurate up-to-date and well organized filing system.
  4. Maintains confidentiality of various aspects of school operation including sensitive and personal information regarding student and faculty records.
  5. Performs a wide variety of secretarial work, including typing and word processing, proofreading, filing, record information and processing and distribution of correspondence.
  6. Provides support and assistance to the administration, faculty, staff, students and parents proactively or as needed.
  7. The Transportation Coordinator coordinates busing for the current students and acts as a liaison between the school districts and Don Bosco Prep. The coordinator adheres to transportation guidelines by the completion of B8T forms twice a year. These forms confirm the current enrollment of students at DBP. The coordinator also sends correspondence to families to inform and remind them of B6T transportation form deadlines and compliance. Sends completed B6T transportation forms (completed by the family of the student) to the various school districts to update their transportation rosters and to allow them to send the aid in lieu of payments (if applicable and they qualify) in a timely manner.
  8. The Attendance Coordinator position involves multiple responsibilities including overseeing and enforcing the attendance policy, monitoring school wide attendance data, and working with individual students and their families with regard to attendance issues. Sending out correspondences when students have 3 or more lates and must serve a detention.
  9. Prepares and submits purchase orders, work orders and reimbursement forms as needed. Responsible for the daily distribution of daily mail and packages.
  10. Responsible for the replenishment of the supply of Mass cards and the completion of Mass cards for the general public and the Don Bosco Community.
  11. Scheduling and additional administrative duties for the Assistant Principals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. The Administrative Assistant should have the ability to prioritize well, work independently and follow through on assignments. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with others. The candidate should be competent in completing work independently with little direction and with constant interruptions and have the ability to manage a number of diverse tasks in a busy school environment. Proficiency in Google Apps and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Don Bosco Prep High School seeks a qualified bus driver to drive for the 2025-2026 school year. As a bus driver for Don Bosco Prep, the employee will be under the supervision of an administrator.  In this role, the bus driver will be  operating a school bus or van over designated bus routes and transporting high school students.  

Qualifications:

  • Must have CDL with P, S, and Air Brake endorsements
  • Must be over the age of 21.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Must be committed to training and processes.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history.
  • No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years.
  • Ability to adhere to all company safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Passion for working with children

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Obeys all traffic laws
  • Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
  • Maintain discipline when students are on bus
  • Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority
  • Keeps assigned bus clean
  • Keeps to assigned schedule
  • Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects
  • Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness
  • Discharges students only at authorized stops
  • Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips
  • Transports only authorized students
  • Reports all accidents and completes required reports
  • Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus
